        ◆ Famish 남을 굶주리게 하다/남을 아사시키다 : 내가 배고픈 것은 수동형으로 사용

            = I’m hungry = I’m starving

Chandler: Please god. Don’t let it be kung pow chicken.

Mrs. Bing: Oh. you watched the show. What did you think of that?

Chandler: Well I think you need to come out of your shell just a little.

        ◆ Come out of your shell 껍데기에서 나오다➜소심함에서 깨라➜적극적으로 하다

        ◆ Come out of your shell just a little. 조금만 적극적으로 하지➜조금만 나대지

Mrs. Bing: I think we’re ready for some tequila.

Chandler: I know I am (ready for the tequila).

Mrs. Bing: Who’s doing shots?

                  해석: 누구 또 마실 사람?

Phobe: Hit me. 

Mrs. Bing: There you go. Ross?

Ross: Uh I’m not really a shot drinking kinda guy.

          해석: 쭉쭉 마시는 스타일은 아니예요.

Rachel: Hi, sorry. We’re late. We...kinda...just lost track of time.

What do you think of~ ? ~에 대해서 어떻게 생각해요?/~는 어때?

 

        ◆ Think of you : 막 떠올리다 ➞ 지금 이 순간 어떤 의견을 물어봄.

        ◆ Think about you : 곰곰히 생각하다(구체적인 것들)

        ◆ 보통 ‘어떻게’ 라고 질문을 하게 되면 how 를 떠올리게 되는데 틀린 표현이다. 

            How do you think of~? 어떠한 수단으로 떠올리시나요?  

           만약 이런 질문을 하게 되면 외국인들이 장난으로 with my head 이런 식으로 약올린다.

           그렇다면 왜 what 을 사용해야만 할까?

           대개 think of 는 think of A (as) B : A를 B처럼 생각하다 의 형태로 두개의 주어를 갖는다.

           의문으로 바꾸면 

           What(B) do you think of A? A에 대해서 뭐라고 떠올리니?

           How 는 주어가 아니기 때문에 틀릴 수밖에 없다.

           그래도 How 를 사용하고 싶다면 how do you like? (어때요?) 를 쓰면 된다.
