Rach: You’d better get more sleep.

Mon: This woman’s living my life.

Rach: What?

Mon: She’s living my life. And she’s doing it better than me. Look at this, look. She buys tickets for plays that I wanna see. She, she buys clothes from stores that I’m intimidated by the sales people. She spent 300 dollars on art supplies.

Rach: You are not an artist.

Mon: Yeah, well I might be if I had the supplies. I mean, I could do all this stuff. Only I don’t.

해석: 만약 내가 미술용품을 샀다면 예술가가 됐을지도 모르지. 이거 다 할 수 있는 건데. 안한 것 뿐이라고.

Rach: Oh, Monica, come on. You do cool things.

현재형 문장 ➜ 지속적인 습관 : 쿨하게 잘 살고 있잖아.

Mon: Oh, really? Let’s compare, shall we.

Rach: It’s so late for shall we.

Mon: Do I go horseback riding in the park? Do I take classes at the new school?

Rach: No.

Mon: This is so unfair. She’s got everything I want. And she doesn’t have my mother.
